Opening Men’s Centers Around the World

After more than thirty years of working in community development and
health and human services, locally and globally, I see the urgent need for
men’s centers all around the world, similar to centers for women.

Drugs, guns, gangs, domestic violence, internet porn, divorce, job retention, war…
are just some of the issues that confront men everyday.

Local Men’s Centers around the world will help men in many ways.

Men’s Centers can help men at work, at home, and in the community.

They can help men with health, job security and relationships.

Here are some of the reasons why men are being invited to get together to form Men’s Centers:

  • World Transition
In the 21st Century many men are in transition in their relationships at home, in the workplace and the community.
  • Negative Images
Many negative images of men exist in our society. Men can be depicted in the media as being overbearing, selfish, or prone to doing harm to youth, women and other men.

  • Violence
Men are trained to be strong, tough and competitive, which may lead to domestic violence by men unable to control their emotions and behavior and resolve conflict peacefully.

  • Relationships
Many men have a hard time developing and staying in a healthy, loving, long-term committed relationship or marriage due to lack of communication and social skills, economic pressures, or addiction to substances or unhealthy processes.

  • Competition
The workplace is changing, requiring men to be more collaborative with other men and women in teams, yet the economic climate is more competitive than ever.

For these reasons and more, I am reaching out to men and women around the world  from every profession and line of work to join together to form and develop a local Men’s Center where they live.

The purpose of the Men’s Center is to help men address their issues and concerns and explore their full potential.

We will help men heal and grow, and when possible, reconnect with their parents, spouses, sons and daughters. Men’s Centers can help men become better fathers, partners, team members, community leaders and mentors to youth.
